April 16, 2012 - An urgent message from our Founder and President:
Dear WellCare Friends,
We received 36 applications seeking care in the past 5 days ...
...more than WellCare Foundation has ever had in such a short period of time in our 13 year history. However, we are experiencing major financial straits! The continuation of our mission to provide free, integrated primary healthcare to single working mothers and their children who are not on government assistance and cannot afford the cost of healthcare is seriously threatened.
"As a single working mom, it was wonderful not to feel alone during this crucial time. Instead, I felt like I had a team working with me..."
As a nonprofit organization, we operate strictly on donations and grants. We are not closing our doors, simply restructuring at this time with limited hours of operation at our clinics.
"WellCare has been nothing short of a miracle for my 2-year-old son and me."
Everyone knows a WellCare mom and every dollar counts. If you are able to help these mothers and their children in need, hit the Donate Now Button in the upper right-hand corner of this page and give what you can.
"You have no idea what this means to me! I now feel cared for and have care for my children."
WellCare's May 16th "Night in Rio" fundraiser will still be held thanks to the generosity of Tommy Bahama Kierland Commons.
Thank you for your financial support at this crucial time.
Hugs and blessings,
Marge Ebeling

Everyone knows a WellCare mom. She is under a tremendous amount of stress. While she is providing all she can to her family, she cannot afford health insurance and is not reliant on state assistance. In Maricopa County alone, there are more than 175,000 single, working mothers and their children who fall into this category — through the cracks of the current healthcare system.
That's where we come in. Since 1999, the WellCare Foundation has helped single, working mothers and their children get healthy and stay healthy by providing the highest level of care possible at no cost to those we serve. Our integrated and comprehensive approach to health care heals the whole person and provides much-needed physical, mental and emotional support. With a network of licensed practitioners from all aspects of care, including conventional, complementary, and alternative medicine, we strive to meet the unique needs of each family we serve. As we fill the most basic needs of these single parents and their children, they can improve their self-sufficiency and succeed in life.
Whether you're a single parent, a healthcare practitioner, or a concerned
